TTP - TTP99-07 Determining the Strange Quark Mass in Cabibbo Suppressed Tau Lepton Decays

In this talk the recent results on perturbative QCD corrections to the hadronic decay rate of the tau lepton are presented. We discuss the structure of perturbation theory series of the leading mass correction. On the base of this analysis the numerical value of the strange quark mass is extracted.
