TTP - TTP97-24 |V_cb| from semileptonic B decays with two-loop QCD accuracy

Recent progress in calculating ${\cal O}(\alpha _s ^2)$ corrections to inclusive and exclusive semileptonic $b \to c$ transitions is reviewed. The impact of these corrections on the $|V_{cb}|$\ determination from both inclusive and exclusive $B$ decays is discussed.
