This lecture aims to give a pedagogical overview over the present status of light particles beyond the Standard Model in theory, experiment and the sky. I will cover the theoretical motivation, the construction of explicit models, experimental searches at high-precision facilities (like Belle-II) or dedicated experiments (like CAST and ADMX), and constraints from astrophysics and cosmology. While the emphasis is on the QCD axion, also axion-like particles (ALPs), dark photons and sterile neutrinos will be discussed.
Lecture: Mondays, 12:00 - 13:30, 30.22 Physik-Hörsaal Nr. 3 (Kl. HS A) (first lecture: October 18, 2021)
